The rooms are hippo yes, the staff are warm and responsive, the location is convenient and safe and the internet is fast and reliable.
Most importantly there’s a therapy room down stairs.
Central area to stay
Stayed for one night after our Garden Route tour before our flight back. Busy area, lots of food options.
Room was comfortable.
Easy to walk along Kloof St & Long St to our walking tour, and easy to return from Bo Kapp.
Enjoyed the balcony in the evening.
For security, had to buzz in on initial arrival and then used our key cards to get in the building.

Great place, great location
From the start till the end very kind personnel and helpful. The street side can be noisy in the weekend due to bars below the hotel.
Loved the hotel would recommend to fellow travelers.
The staff where there 24 hours we arrived late and there was someone there to greet us. We had vouchers for breakfast that where perfect because we had a choice.

Just finished a 3 night stay here and enjoyed the time from when the hotel arranged the airport pick to the late check out after a last minute trip up Table Mountain due to a couple of days bad weather. Great breakfast options we loved Eggheads. Would stay again!
VERY GOOD
It was our third stay at Hippo. It is a great location to reach main attractions and easy to get around town. Rooms are comfortable and parking conveniently on site, Staff went out of their way to find a mislaid item and return it to me. I will stay with them again.

Absolutely outstanding! We booked a standard room for our honeymoon, but to our surprise, we were upgraded to a gorgeous executive room beautifully decorated for our special occasion. The hospitality, attention to detail, and warmth from the staff made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!
